ADOPT ME ONLINE: https://ophrescue.org/dogs/12877 Name: Aladdin Age: Between 1-2 years Breed: Lab Mixed Breed Weight: About 70 lbs My foster mom calls me Buddy because Im her best buddy. Click here to see my content playing with scraps of a toy :) Click here to see me looking like such a doofus while lounging around, and click here to see me at my happiest when I am running around outside! - I am very timid at first and will need some time to learn to trust you. Once I am comfortable with you, I will absolutely love you and want to be your best buddy too. - Foster mom says I am the best house guest and shes so grateful and proud for how far I have come since I first arrived :) - I love being with my foster family and getting pets. - I am the absolute happiest dog and THRIVE when I am running outside in a fenced in yard! I love playing and running in the yard. - I really enjoy playing with my toys and can easily entertain myself. I have learned how to embrace my inner puppy. When I get really excited, I get the zoomies and will playfully bark at inanimate objects. - I am house-trained and havent had any accidents in my foster home. I even signal when I need to go outside! - I sleep well through the night on the couch or on my dog bed in my foster moms room - I love meeting other dogs. - I would do well as the only dog in a home or living with another calm dog. - I am hopeful for a family that has a fenced in yard and will be patient with me as I learn to trust. I am looking for a loving soulmate to provide me with care and understanding. Aladdin recently had surgery on both front elbows for elbow dysplasia and has recovered well. Aladdin also has bilateral hip dysplasia, but was not recommended for surgery since he does not appear to be in any pain. Since coming into foster care, he has done a great job getting down to a lean body weight and building muscle. If you have a big heart and can offer sweet Aladdin (Buddy) a loving and supportive home, apply today. Aladdin will make a loving and loyal companion :) To adopt fill out the simple online application at https://ophrescue.org Operation Paws for Homes, Inc. (OPH) rescues dogs and cats of all breeds and ages from high-kill shelters in NC, VA, MD, and SC, reducing the numbers being euthanized. With limited resources, the shelters are forced to put down 50-90% of the animals that come in the front door. OPH provides pet adoption services to families located in VA, DC, MD, PA and neighboring states. OPH is a 501(c)(3) organization and is 100% donor funded. OPH does not operate a shelter or have a physical location. We rely on foster families who open their homes to give love and attention to each pet before finding a forever home. All adult dogs, cats, and kittens are altered prior to adoption. Puppies too young to be altered at the time of adoption must be brought to our partner vet in Ashland, VA for spay or neuter paid for by Operation Paws for Homes by 6 months of age. Adopters may choose to have the procedure done at their own vet before 6 months of age and be reimbursed the amount that the rescue would pay our partner vet in Ashland.
