RESCUING THROTTLE

Throttle was about to be euthanized by the breeder due to his inability to walk, but a staff member stepped up and took the pet in. That is where we came along! Throttle got his FREEDOM RIDE on 8/14/22. He was taken to see numerous specialists and the belief is that he was born with a deformed spine and chest that affects his walking and is unable to control his bladder and there is no surgery that can improve his condition. We then discussed physical therapy, which he has been doing since being adopted.

ABOUT THROTTLE

Have a heart for a rehabilitated dog? Throttle is your guy! This guy is as sweet as he is strong! He has gone through extensive rehabilitation and continues to work on his walking in his hind limbs. He can now walk and sometimes even run, but not for long distances. He will need ongoing rehabilitation and assistance. He has done great with other dogs and kids but has not come in contact with cats yet. He is still working on his potty training and due to his spinal issues, he occasionally will leak urine, which a diaper is helping at the moment. He naps and sleeps very well in his crate and loves to gnaw on his Nylabone toys. He is so young and has a great desire to please he will help with training a puppy. This little boy would love a new home!
