We are a volunteer run rescue and donate our time to these dogs. IF you are not serious about moving forward in our adoption process, please do not apply. If someone other than yourself is part of the decision making process, please make sure you have spoken with them and they are on board. We really do not want to waste anyones time if you are not serious about adopting this dog.

Wrangler, 2 years old, neutered male, Pitbull Terrier mix, 50 pounds. He is located in a foster home in San Antonio, Texas and can transport out of State once an adopter is approved.

This guy has stolen all of our hearts. He was literally saved from the brink of death on the streets in San Antonio. A woman messaged our rescue page about him, asking if we could help. Her dad kept seeing him on their street and did not know what to do. We took to social media for help and a group of people showed up! One person drove around for two days until they were able to locate him. He was skin and bones when she took him directly to the vet. He was infested with fleas and ticks. He is incredibly anemic and we really arent sure how many more days he would survived.

Wrangler has the most incredible foster mom who has nursed him back to health. Check out our social media (Facebook, Instagram or TikTok) to see his transformation. He has always shown everyone he meets so much love, despite the horrible condition his "owners" left him in.

Although we estimate him to be about 2 years old, he certainly has "puppy" energy. He is goofy, play bows, has zoomies and is submissive both with humans and other dogs. He has been working on his manners and takes correction from other dogs really well. He really likes to play. We would not describe him as high energy, just very curious and playful.

He loves to explore and then come back to check in. He pays attention to other dogs ques when they want to disengage in play. He can be in another dogs space/face area when first meeting. One dog corrected him, he immediately submitted and respected her space going forward. When seeing other dogs on leash, he greets them in a friendly manner.

We have no history with cats or kids. Due to his playful energy, we recommend a home with kids 10 years and older. We always recommend homes with kids who understand and respect animal boundaries.

Wrangler walks well on the leash with little pulling. He is always very curious and wants to sniff, explore and check things out. He has had some accidents and we anticipate in a new home he will need to go out consistently to get the hang of it. He does well when crated- blankets work best as he will shred toys or other types of bedding.

As you can imagine he really LOVES food. He will make sure to wait patiently to eat before going potty in the morning. He has no issues with taking food gently from people or with them touching his food. He eats separately from other dogs as we recommend this for all of our dogs.

He really loves toys (shredding is his favorite). He likes scratches and attention, but doesnt hold his still haha. He is very friendly when meeting new people. He rides really well in the car.

We would love to see another playful dog in a home with Wrangler. We believe this will help continue his great manners and will be a great physical outlet for him too. He would love to join in on adventures. We know he did not have much if any love in his former life, so its important his forever family showers him with all the love.
