Meet Solstice!

This handsome boy was saved from euthanasia in a rural shelter and has been in foster care. He desperately needs a family of his own.

Solstice is just over 2 years old and is a big boy at 70 lbs. Unsure of breed mix but looks like some Lab/Catahoula/Pointer/Collie DNA!

He is friendly and goofy and doesn’t know how large he is. If he had his way, he would play all day. This boy has energy, he is a youngster after all!!

Big, active happy boy and he just loves people and water! Crate trained, never has accidents in crate (sleeps in it all night).

Good with other big dogs that dont mind a rowdy and rambunctious play style!

Solstice loves car rides! He likes nothing better than to put his head on his foster dad’s shoulder and just ride the entire time!

He has some good working dog breeds in him, and he acts like a big puppy!! So he needs plenty of physical and mental stimulation!
A good sized fenced yard would be ideal, and he will need to run and play several times a day. Or a running/hiking/swimming buddy.

He is good on a leash and even better if tuckered out running in the backyard beforehand!! Mental activities could include hide and seek/treasure hunt with toys or treats, maybe frisbee, agility, puzzle games, teaching new and more complex commands. He will thrive when he his brain has a job to do,

Probably would do best with an active family, a home with a confident pack leader, who has experience in working breeds.

If you’re looking for an active, playful companion that is smart and eager to please, this may be your boy.

If you could open your heart and home for this sweetheart, contact Julie on 919 624 0059 ASAP.
