Karp (an anagram of Park) came to the Shelter on June 23, 2023. After being left in a hot vehicle at Typhoon Texas (a water park). Karp would love a new family to keep him cool and loved. Karp is a part of the welcoming committee when the Volunteers enter the kennel each day. Karp is always eager to say hello to everyone with his tail wagging nonstop and ready to give licks. Karp does a great job of following directions and is eager to please. Karp enjoys running with his shelter friends and just soaking up love from the volunteers. Karp did very well when he met a new family at the shelter (a 4 yr old). Karp was so gentle and loving with the child. He also was loving & comfortable with both mom and dad. Karp quietly sat with each person while each petted him. Then Karp rolled on his back and asked for belly rubs. He plays well with small dogs too! He rolled over and let the puppy “be the boss” while Karp happily entertained the little guy’s antics. Were not sure about cats but we can have him tested easily. Karp walks well on a leash & knows how to sit. His energy level is of an established aged dog who loves to play, but also wants to cuddle on the sofa. Karp has blossomed into a confident, playful and brave pup since joining us. Karps ideal forever home would be any size family and with dog siblings or being the only child. If you feel that you are the right fit for Karp, please apply to adopt him today! Karp is currently in a municipal shelter in Texas, but can be transported to many locations. Adoption and transport fees can be discussed once applications are submitted.
