Please say hello to the handsome hunk named Blade! Blade arrived at the shelter as a lost little boy on 10/22. Sadly, no one has come to reclaim this precious baby. Blade is very sweet, very calm and really nice looking in person. He is slowly adjusting to his new surroundings despite being placed in a loud, overcrowded shelter. The volunteers are making him feel comfortable and loved. He is adorable! He is hoping to find a loving person soon that will continue to take care of him and actually take the time to TRAIN HIM properly to keep him safe in him home and be patient with him. He needs someone that will be there for him in his life EVERYDAY!! He would make a great addition to an active/adventurous family who will take him on car rides, beaches, hikes and make wonderful memories with him. He is super intelligent as he knows how to sit pretty well and stay in place. He is eager to please and a natural at learning new things. Blade is current on vaccines, neutered and will be micro-chipped and tested for heart worms upon his adoption. Blade is a nice size at 62 pounds and he is just 5 years old. He is still a vibrant young man who is willing to keep you on your toes if you would just give him a fair chance to make your life so much brighter. Its a crazy world and having a pup is the best remedy to navigate you through this life. He is more than ready to meet his new family. You will find Blade patiently waiting for you in Run 831. Blades ID# is 650224. Please note, all of the pet listings on Friends of Shelter Animals for Cobb are done by volunteers, not shelter staff. If this pet came in as lost (not an owner surrender), we dont know how they might be with children, other pets, or if house trained. You can bring your pet to the shelter for a meet & greet with your potential new best friend. When calling the shelter about a cat or dog, please use THE ID NUMBER, names are oftentimes made up by volunteers. This pet and many others are available for adoption from the Cobb County Animal Shelter 1060 Al Bishop Dr. Marietta, GA 30008, call (770) 499-4136 for more information. Shelter hours are: Tues. - Sun. 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. by appointment only until further notice, CLOSED Mondays & Holidays. The shelter prefers people to make an appointment, go to - https://nqa3.nemoqappointment.com/Booking/Booking/Index/as65fg9dr953 and select Adoption. But you can also just show up between 10:30 and 4:00 Tues. through Sun. (shelter closes at 4:30), you might have to wait a few minutes until someone can help you. The adoption includes shots, altering, a heartworm or combo test and a microchip for permanent identification. When you do book an appointment, keep in mind it doesnt reserve a particular pet for you. Thank you for considering a Cobb pet!
