Description:
Senior boy Frankie is approximately 14 years old and is looking for his second chance at a forever home. His owners growing family and travel demands made it so they felt they couldnt give him the attention he deserved. Hes very vocal (he is a Siamese after all!) and loves to be around people. He loves to snuggle, be held, and sit on laps. Hes been lonely here at the shelter so were hoping to find him a home ASAP. Hes never lived with another cat but we were told that he was tolerant of a family-members dogs that came to visit, and he spends time around the Shelter Managers dogs without incident (FIV cannot spread to dogs). Hed probably prefer an older or more mellow dog to a rambunctious puppy. Frankie would make a great companion for someone!

PLEASE READ: Frankie tested positive twice for FIV on our SNAP tests. Whether he actually has FIV or he was maybe just vaccinated against it years ago (which would make his test show up positive), we dont know, so to be safe we have to assume he has FIV. FIV is like HIV but for cats. An FIV+ cat can live a long, healthy life just like any other cat, and FIV is transmitted through violent fighting and biting. Because Frankie has never shared his home with another cat and growls when he sees them, he should probably be the only cat in the home just in case. There are a lot of resources to learn about FIV, and we can provide his adopter with a handout that has plenty of good info. We hope his FIV status wont keep this sweet boy from getting the home he deserves!

Our adoption application can be found here:

All of our cats are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccines, microchipped, de-wormed, tested for FeLV/FIV, and treated for fleas before adoption.
