Description:
Hello everyone! My name is ivern! I’m a 2 year old purebred standard poodle! I lived my first two years of life in a chicken coop in someone’s backyard until I was rescued from that life. Despite that, I am a very loving sweet good boy. I’m extremely tall, probably one of the biggest poodles you’ll ever see! I am 65 pounds exactly; so not very much weight to me, I just have long legs! I’ve had a tough time finding a home because of my puppy manners and my size, so for the last couple of weeks I’ve been in a very skilled foster home learning basic obedience and how to reign in my silly puppy antics! I have absolutely perfect house and crate manners, to this day I’ve never had an accident in my foster home or my crate! My foster mom and dad said I need someone who will be firm with me. I really just want to love anyone I see so much that I can be pushy about my love. I absolutely love walks and I am perfect on a leash! My foster mom said I’m not much of a duck hunter but I could be if someone wanted to teach me how to do that! I am so so smart! Due to my breeds skin issues, I’m currently eating Purina pro plan salmon sensitive skin brand food, and whatever is left of my bag will go to my new home with me, but this is the food I should stay on to help with my ears! My foster mom has my ears and the reoccurring infections all cleaned up and the food is the key to having a happy healthy life. I was a handful for the groomer the first time, however my second time with my groomer she said I did so great! I even allowed my feet to be trimmed and my nails cut the second time! She said she can’t wait to see me get a home and hopefully I can still see my same groomer for the rest of my life! I didn’t like my crate at first, but now I will go right in it for my foster mom! She said I have come so far and I’m such a good boy, I just need someone who will continue at home with my obedience training. I know sit, shake, and quiet!

Requirements for my adoption includes I must go into a home with a fenced yard and I absolutely need another doggy friend to play with. My foster mom has small dogs weighing as little as 3 pounds and she has a Saint Bernard! I am wonderful with dogs of all sizes but I do need a dog closer to my size so we can romp around the yard together!

Adoption donation fee is $400 which it is tax-deductible and goes towards the care of homeless pets with Unchained Souls Canine Rescue.
