Sheen is an adorable male kitten who was surrendered by his owner on December 23, 2023. Sheen may look familiar to many of our volunteers since he originally came to HSOV on May 4, 2023 along with his sister (Carla) and several other cats/kittens who had shared his previous home. Sheen & Carla were tiny 4 week old kittens at that time. Sheen has a brown tabby short smooth coat with cute spots on his belly, a long ringed tail, and a cute kitten face with golden eyes, a brown velvet nose, white shading on his muzzle/chin, and long white whiskers. This little sweetheart has an affectionate, outgoing personality. Sheen was given vaccinations and wormer on May 6, 2023. He was given booster vaccines on June 6, 2023 and July 24, 2023. Sheen was neutered on September 19, 2023 and was also given rabies vaccine. He weighed 7.5 lbs that day. We had hoped that Sheen and his sister Carla would be adopted together since theyd never been separated after being brought to our shelter. Carla was adopted on September 16, 2023, so Sheen spent the next two months by himself before he found a home. Sheen was adopted on November 14, 2023 but was returned on December 23rd since he was displaying too much kitten behavior (scratching/clawing/chewing on furniture and other items). Sheen is now about 8-months old and needs to find a loving home with someone one who will provide enrichment toys, scratching posts, etc to help him be the best boy ever. These photos were taken late in the afternoon on Christmas Eve Day 2023 when HSOV Kennel Techs Hayley Sturm and Madison Lee treated Sheen to some out-of-tower time to stretch his legs and to enjoy some playtime. Sheen was the center of attention and loved playing with feathery/ribbon teaser toys .. and being held like a baby in Hayley and Madisons arms. Sheen is a fairly big boy these days and weighs perhaps 10-11 lbs. Rescue groups may contact our HSOV Feline Rescue Coordinator via email (sharonpaul2@suddenlink.net). We can usually help with transportation.
