Rocky is a big, kind, gentle gelding who has worked at Camp Foster for the last several years, giving rides to children both on trails and in a lesson environment. He came to us when he started to struggle to maintain weight. His teeth are worn down and therefore he does require a pelleted diet to keep his weight up and get enough nutrition. He can eat hay but cant eat enough to keep himself healthy, so its an absolute must that he goes to a home that is prepared to feed him a senior feed/complete feed diet for the rest of his life. Personality wise, he is mid to top of the pack in pasture, so can be a little pushy towards other horses, but nothing out of line. He is curious and playful with the occasional jokester/naughty streak. Again - nothing major, as hes a very respectful boy, but wed watch him around open gates :) As a camp horse he is likely well trained to ride and safe for all. He may need some encouragement to ride out alone as the camp horses often do best in a group, but a confident rider should have no problem helping him build his confidence. We have not yet evaluated him under saddle due to his weight on intake, and he could stand to gain more weight - but we are ready to let him meet potential homes who can continue his weight gain.
