Django (Bonded with Evie) DOB: 4/2013 Adoption fee: $350/pr Django and Evie have a heartbreaking story to tell. Almost 2 years ago, their hooman dad fell terminally ill and knew he had to make plans for his precious cats. All he cared about was what happened to them after he left the earth and he immediately started making plans for them by reaching out to Lapcats for help. Originally, he wanted to surrender them so they could find a permanent home, but after many discussions with the Lapcats folks, we decided it would be best for him to keep the cats as long as possible for his own benefit and theirs. We truly believe he lived two more years, because he had his companions with him and had nothing to worry about. He knew we would watch over Evie and Django and only find the best placement for them. While they’ve been in foster care, they have shown to be, loving and easy-going cats, just as their dad told us. Django is a handsome brown/tan striped tabby with big beautiful green eyes. He can be a little shy at first but warms up to pets and grooming. Once you get Django going, he loves to play with his toys, especially the Kong kicker and wand toys. Django is a sweet, gentlemen with a soft voice. Hes not one to be held or cuddled but he loves to be near or next to you. When its lounging or nap time, you can find him on a soft plushy throw blanket making biscuits. Django is bonded with his sister Evie, and they will not be separated. They have gone through so much together and rely on each other for comfort. Although their personalities are quite different, they are similar in many ways as well. They are both low key cats who love a good view out a window, with a cozy cat tree, toys, and a few cat scratchers. Both are also perfectly potty trained. They would do best in a quiet home where they are the only pets. If you are looking for an easy-going pair of cats that are also affectionate and playful, please send in your application for these two. Applications to adopt can be found on our website lapcats.org. All of our cats have tested negative for FELV and are fully vaccinated. They have not only been spayed or neutered but have also been treated for worms, fleas, and have been micro chipped. We will register their microchip for you, provide you with a free exam visit to a participating Sacramento veterinarian, have a goodie bag with toys and coupons for Petsmart along with other complementary items. We offer free nail trimmings for life for not only your adopted Lapcats cat but any cat in your household too!
