Hey guys. It’s me, Bugsy. You might remember me from a few weeks ago. I came to SOHF after I got shot in a parking lot. No, we don’t know who did it and we don’t know why and sadly, my buddy who was with me didn’t survive. Miraculously, the bullet that hit me went straight through my back without puncturing any vital organs or my spine. I went to the emergency room and the vet put stitches in me to sew up my wounds. You can see the bullet entrance and exit wounds have healed now and when my fur grows back you won’t even know what happened. 

Considering what happened to me and my spicy personally they said I needed to be named after a gangster. My adorable underbite and crazy wiry hair just add to my charm, so “Bugsy” it is. I am a 9 lb Chihuahua/Terrier mix and I am a bit of a wild child, to be honest. Not only am I SUPER energetic but I’m also more confident and brave than I should be for my small stature. I am not afraid of anything! I am curious and bold. My foster mom says I am part monkey because I bounce from place to place and am known for my ability to climb. I am super smart and treat-motivated so if you want a dog who readily learns tricks, I’m your guy. Even though I’m tiny I have the athletic ability and intelligence to become a fantastic agility or flyball partner. I get along well with both large and small dogs but being with my person is my main concern. I am literally obsessed with my foster mom and would stay glued to her if I could. I am not a dog who would do well being left home alone for long hours and I am not suited to apartment life because I cry loudly when I have to go in my crate. I need a home with a fenced yard and a human who has time to give me the love, attention and exercise I crave. Foster mom says I have more personality than should be legally allowed. All I need is someone who will appreciate my comical, quirky nature and love me forever. I’m only three years old so I have lots of life to live and adventures to share together with my new humans.
