Adoption policy

Animal Shelter Volunteers of Texas is a 501(c)3 tax exempt animal welfare organization that is 100% funded by your donations. We are a group of volunteers dedicated to helping abandoned, abused and neglected animals. ASVT provides foster homes and\xa0medical care for stray, injured and abused dogs and cats in the Montgomery County, Texas and surrounding area. Our\xa0goal is to place these pets\xa0into permanent, loving, forever homes that will suite the animal and the family best. ASVT partners with out-of-state animal rescues and shelters in need of adoptable animals and transports\xa0animals to them. ASVTs adoptable dogs and cats are in foster care, working on learning proper behavior, house training and adapting to living as part of a family again. Each animal in our program has different needs. We are dedicated to finding the right fit for your family and for our adoptable pet.

AAHA provides an internet-based application that enables veterinarians, humane organizations, pet owners or other persons to search various Pet Recovery Service registries and identify those registries on which a particular microchip is registered. AAHA is not affiliated or involved with any specific microchip registry and has no relationship, financial or otherwise, with this Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry ("Registry"). This Registry has given AAHA permission to search the Registry's database in order to assist pet owners in being reunited with their pets. AAHA does not maintain a database of microchips of its own. It only links to registries such as this one. The AAHA Universal Microchip Lookup Tool only searches the databases of companies that elect to participate in the program.
