Adoption policy

Arthur Animal Rescue Co-operative is a non-profit rescue group that focuses on saving feral, stray and neglected cats in Wellington North and Centre Wellington. AARC was started in 2015 by Audrey Peacock, who has been rescuing kittens for over 20 years. It has expanded into a network of fosters and volunteers across both counties who work to give these animals the medical care they need, and a safe place to live until they can be vaccinated and spayed or neutered. When the kitties are healthy and socialized they are adopted out to their forever homes.
