Adoption policy

Due to the ongoing pandemic we are unable to run our normal in person fundraising events. So we kindly ask for your financial help with online donations. Please continue reading for information on how and why we need your help for the upcoming kitten season. For many people kitten season means cuddly adoptable kittens. But for rescue organizations it can mean a never ending list of expenses. Not all kittens that end up in GHS foster homes are healthy. Some are dehydrated being cared for by a mother fighting to find enough food for herself to keep her milk supply up to nurse her precious litter. Fleas or eye infections for both mom and babies can occur by living in filthy surroundings. Vet fees can quickly add up during this time so we humbly ask for your financial help. No amount is too small. Please visit our website (link on this page) and click on the Donate to GHS button on the homepage. Under the Optional Reference section please type in KITTENS so your donation goes to the right place. Thank you!

FindpetTM is a Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry for the AAHA Universal Pet Microchip Lookup Tool. AAHA provides an internet-based application that enables veterinarians, humane organizations, pet owners or other persons to search various Pet Recovery Service registries and identify those registries on which a particular microchip is registered. AAHA is not affiliated or involved with any specific microchip registry and has no relationship, financial or otherwise, with this Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry ("Registry"). This Registry has given AAHA permission to search the Registry's database in order to assist pet owners in being reunited with their pets. AAHA does not maintain a database of microchips of its own. It only links to registries such as this one. The AAHA Universal Microchip Lookup Tool only searches the databases of companies that elect to participate in the program.
