Adoption policy

Adoptions at Main Line Animal Rescue are done by volunteers, who have spent many hours getting to know the animals who are available for adoption. Because we must coordinate adoption visits with the volunteers who know the animals, we request that you first submit an application by going to our website at When it is received, someone will call you to arrange a time that works for your family and the volunteer. \tE-mails regarding adoption are not considered an application. Your application must be submitted to Main Line Animal Rescue specializes in the rescue and placement of companion animals. We never discriminate on the basis of health, age or breed. By involving and educating the community, Main Line Animal Rescue works to raise awareness of the issues related to animal welfare as well as realizing the benefits of adopting an animal in need. FindpetTM is a Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry for the AAHA Universal Pet Microchip Lookup Tool. AAHA provides an internet-based application that enables veterinarians, humane organizations, pet owners or other persons to search various Pet Recovery Service registries and identify those registries on which a particular microchip is registered. AAHA is not affiliated or involved with any specific microchip registry and has no relationship, financial or otherwise, with this Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry ("Registry"). This Registry has given AAHA permission to search the Registry's database in order to assist pet owners in being reunited with their pets. AAHA does not maintain a database of microchips of its own. It only links to registries such as this one. The AAHA Universal Microchip Lookup Tool only searches the databases of companies that elect to participate in the program.
