Adoption policy

Located in Marshfield, Wisconsin, the Marshfield Area Pet Shelter is a 501(c)3 non-profit animal welfare organization serving the greater Marshfield area. We moved in to our new state-of-the-art facility located at 3500 Downwind Dr (behind Slumberland) on August 20, 2020. DSL: 492209 We do not have open hours for public viewing of our adoptable animals. We are by appointment only. If interested in adopting, please complete our adoption application. Once your application is approved, an appointment will be scheduled to visit with your desired pet. ONLINE APPLICATION can be found at: www.marshfieldpetshelter.org/adoption-application Our lifesaving mission is to treat all animals with dignity and respect, enrich the lives of animals in need and improve the relationship between people and pets. We pledge that every adoptable animal will be given the opportunity to find a loving home regardless of space, age or time limitations.

AAHA provides an internet-based application that enables veterinarians, humane organizations, pet owners or other persons to search various Pet Recovery Service registries and identify those registries on which a particular microchip is registered. AAHA is not affiliated or involved with any specific microchip registry and has no relationship, financial or otherwise, with this Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry ("Registry"). This Registry has given AAHA permission to search the Registry's database in order to assist pet owners in being reunited with their pets. AAHA does not maintain a database of microchips of its own. It only links to registries such as this one. The AAHA Universal Microchip Lookup Tool only searches the databases of companies that elect to participate in the program.
