Adoption policy

Pawsitive Tails is\xa0dedicated to matching the needs and personality of our dogs with your family. We are not in a hurry to adopt out our dogs; we want to make sure the match is perfect for everyone.\xa0 All of the dogs in our rescue live in foster \xa0homes with both the human and furry members of our families.\xa0 Our adoption process begins with an application which can be found under the adopt tab on our website, www.pawsitivetailskc.org.\xa0 Please complete the form in full; the questions we ask help us to fully understand what type of dog you are looking for, and to make sure you get the very best fit.\xa0\xa0Incomplete applications will not be processed.\xa0 If you do not include a vet phone number, a landlord phone number (if applicable), or 3 complete references, we cannot process your application. \xa0We will contact your Veterinarian, so please make sure to call them to release your vet history to our volunteer. FindpetTM is a Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry for the AAHA Universal Pet Microchip Lookup Tool. AAHA provides an internet-based application that enables veterinarians, humane organizations, pet owners or other persons to search various Pet Recovery Service registries and identify those registries on which a particular microchip is registered. AAHA is not affiliated or involved with any specific microchip registry and has no relationship, financial or otherwise, with this Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry ("Registry"). This Registry has given AAHA permission to search the Registry's database in order to assist pet owners in being reunited with their pets. AAHA does not maintain a database of microchips of its own. It only links to registries such as this one. The AAHA Universal Microchip Lookup Tool only searches the databases of companies that elect to participate in the program.
