Pet Search

Adoption policy

Pet Search is an all-volunteer animal rescue and placement service. Pet Search’s philosophy is that all pets deserve a second chance for a home and love. Pet Search has chosen not to use a shelter-type environment with kennels and cages, but instead “home shelter” the animals, which are “foster homes”. This provides a home setting for the pet, which fits in with the Pet Search philosophy that we are placing family pets that need to remain in family environments. We feel that by keeping the pets in a home-shelter environment, the pet can be more thoroughly evaluated and later be placed into the most suitable new family situation. Pet Search is also a no-kill organization regarding healthy pets and therefore promote and assist in providing spay and neutering alternatives to help control the overpopulation of pets in the community. Pet Search is a privately funded organization, relying fully on the generosity of fellow animal lovers. ALL of the donations received go directly to

FindpetTM is a Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry for the AAHA Universal Pet Microchip Lookup Tool. AAHA provides an internet-based application that enables veterinarians, humane organizations, pet owners or other persons to search various Pet Recovery Service registries and identify those registries on which a particular microchip is registered. AAHA is not affiliated or involved with any specific microchip registry and has no relationship, financial or otherwise, with this Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry ("Registry"). This Registry has given AAHA permission to search the Registry's database in order to assist pet owners in being reunited with their pets. AAHA does not maintain a database of microchips of its own. It only links to registries such as this one. The AAHA Universal Microchip Lookup Tool only searches the databases of companies that elect to participate in the program.
