Purmaid Café allows people to spend time with cats without the responsibilities of ownership. An alternative to the traditional animal shelter, Purrmaid Café also allows qualified people the opportunity to adopt its resident cats. Since the primary goal of Purrmaid Café is to find forever homes for cats, it partners with 501[c][3] rescues such as Hope for Paws and Let them Be Little who, as needed, donate well-socialized, spayed/neutered, fully vaccinated young cats. Purrmaid Café provides its visitors a unique and fun experience and provides its cats a safe and caring environment until they find homes of their own. It gives its volunteer staff, made up of high school students and adults, invaluable experience in working with the community as well as with cats. Purrmaid Café also dedicates itself to the education of its visitors, both young and old, in responsible pet ownership.
