Adoption policy

WE ARE NOT A SHELTER. We are a small rescue group comprised of a few people who rescue homeless dogs and cats from adverse conditions or from a shelter where they are at risk of euthanasia. We are not a shelter so please do not contact us about a lost animal or to take in an animal you have found. You need to contact the local shelters for this. Do not try to visit us physically - there is no shelter or building where the animals are kept. They are mostly in private homes. You must first apply and get a home visit and approval to adopt. Most pets are in foster homes and any meet and greets are coordinated through our volunteers and the foster family. Visit our facebook page for Westheimer Animal Clinic for ongoing news about our Sav-A-Pet animals and happenings at the clinic.

All microchips registered with Findpet can be traced internationally through the American Animal Hospital Association’s (AAHA) universal pet microchip lookup, ensuring your pet's safety at home or during travel.
