Soft Paws Rescue
We are an established 501c3 Nonprofit Rescue with Home Base locations both in Santa Rosa, California and Bend, Oregon. We are a foster home based rescue meaning all our dogs are in foster homes with people/families, not in a shelter like environment., all our dogs who come in go to our central location shared with another local rescue CCREW, to quarantine and so we get to know them to properly fit them into foster homes available.
Soft Paws Rescue focuses on all breeds of dogs, puppies, seniors and special needs doggies!
We accept Owner Surrenders and we take dogs on death row at high kill shelters, move them into foster homes and get all dogs fully vetted prior to being adopted.
Our Founder, Mersadies McDowell, oversees our Bend, Oregon location and specializes in working with hydrocephalus puppies, and special needs dogs.
Our Co-Founder, Victoria Melling, oversees our Sonoma County, CA location and specializes in Pregnant Dogs, Whelping and Motherless Bottle Puppies.
