Adoption policy

Texas Litter Control is a high quality, low cost veterinary clinic, adoption center, pet food bank, and shelter support program for companion animals. Our mission is to eliminate the suffering of companion pets in Texas by: •\teducating the public on the importance of spaying/neutering and proper pet healthcare; •\tproviding a low cost solution available to the general public for spay and neuter and basic wellness services; •\tproviding extended pet healthcare to income and program qualified individuals; •\tproviding adoption options for fully vetted pets to the public; •\tproviding alternative solutions such as healthcare, food and other basic needs to pet owners considering surrendering a pet to a local shelter; •\tproviding a networking and educational forum for animal welfare organizations to work together; •\tproviding high quality, high volume spay/neuter surgery training for Veterinarians; and •\tmentoring other animal welfare groups to open clinics in other under serviced areas.

FindpetTM is a Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry for the AAHA Universal Pet Microchip Lookup Tool. AAHA provides an internet-based application that enables veterinarians, humane organizations, pet owners or other persons to search various Pet Recovery Service registries and identify those registries on which a particular microchip is registered. AAHA is not affiliated or involved with any specific microchip registry and has no relationship, financial or otherwise, with this Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry ("Registry"). This Registry has given AAHA permission to search the Registry's database in order to assist pet owners in being reunited with their pets. AAHA does not maintain a database of microchips of its own. It only links to registries such as this one. The AAHA Universal Microchip Lookup Tool only searches the databases of companies that elect to participate in the program.
