UCHS is a private nonprofit organization with a mission of connecting people with animals and enriching lives. Our vision is to be a compassionate organization that places every adoptable animal into a forever home and effectively advocates for the humane treatment of animals. We coordinate programs and services for the people and animals of our community that increase public awareness and education. We are an organization committed to continuous improvement. We never set a time limit on any animal. UCHS was formed by a group of concerned citizens in Marysville in 1913 who wanted to protect the welfare of both children and animals. We currently operate a 6,800 sq ft facility and successfully place 95+% of the 1,200 animals in our care each year; we place 100% of the adoptable animals!
