The Valley River Humane Society has been in existence for 50 years and operates a dog and cat shelter in Marble, North Carolina, located at 7450 US19. \xa0You can contact us by phone at (828) 837-2304 or by email at vrhsinquiries@gmail.com. \xa0To learn more about us, please visit our web page at valleyriverhumanesociety.org. \xa0Our operating hours for the public are from 11 AM to 4 PM, Tuesday through Saturday. \xa0The Shelter is supported by public donations, revenue raised through the Valley River Humane Society Thrift Store, and stray and owner-surrender animal contracts with several NC counties. \xa0We serve Cherokee, Clay, and Graham Counties. \xa0We do not do animal control. \tVRHS intakes about 1700 dogs and cats a year and tries to euthanize only those that are seriously ill or injured or too aggressive to adopt out. \xa0Our dogs are fed twice daily, the indoor kennels are cleaned twice daily and the dogs go outside every day,
